What Questions Can You Ask in an Email Tarot Reading?
You don’t need to arrive at a tarot reading with a perfectly worded question. You might be thinking about a relationship, considering a change at work, or simply finding it difficult to put what you’re feeling into words.
A useful place to begin is: what would you like to understand more clearly?
In my personal email tarot readings, you can bring one focused question or an area of life you would like to explore. Open questions create room to reflect on your situation, recognise patterns and consider the choices available to you.
Here are some ideas to help you find your starting point.
Questions about love and relationships
Relationships can leave us holding several feelings at once. You may care deeply about someone while feeling uncertain about the connection, or notice yourself returning to a familiar pattern.
Try questions such as:
What do I need to understand about this relationship?
What patterns am I bringing into my connections with others?
What do I need from a relationship at this stage of my life?
What would help me approach this situation with greater self-respect?
What can I learn from this connection as I move forward?
It’s understandable to want to ask, “Will my ex come back?” An alternative that leaves more space for your own needs and choices is:
“What do I need to understand about this connection and the healthiest way forward for me?”
That question keeps your wellbeing and your ability to choose at the centre of the reading.
Questions about work and career
You don’t have to be planning a dramatic career change to seek a fresh perspective. Sometimes the question is about feeling unfulfilled, recognising what you value, or deciding where to focus your attention.
You might ask:
What do I need to understand about my current work situation?
What matters most to me as I consider a new direction?
What strengths could I bring more fully into my working life?
What might be holding me back from exploring a different path?
How can I approach this opportunity thoughtfully?
If you’re wondering, “Will I get the job?”, you could explore:
“What can I reflect on as I prepare for this opportunity?”
A reading can offer a perspective to consider alongside what you know about the role, your circumstances and your priorities.
Questions about your relationship with money
Money can be connected to our feelings about security, independence, confidence and what we believe is possible for ourselves.
For a reflective reading, you might ask:
What beliefs influence my relationship with money?
What patterns do I notice around spending, saving or receiving?
What does financial security mean to me personally?
Where might my sense of self-worth be affecting how I value my time and work?
Tarot readings cannot determine investment outcomes or replace qualified financial advice. Questions in this area are best focused on your personal attitudes, feelings and habits.
Questions for when you feel stuck
Sometimes there isn’t one obvious issue. You may feel ready for something to change without knowing what that change should be.
That is a valid starting point, too.
Consider:
What needs my attention at this stage of my life?
What am I ready to approach differently?
What could help me understand why I feel stuck?
Which strengths or sources of support might I be overlooking?
What would be useful to reflect on as I begin a new chapter?
Choose the question that feels closest to what is happening for you. You don’t need to cover everything in one reading.
How to choose your question
Before you book, take a quiet moment to finish this sentence:
“The thing I would most like to understand is…”
Write whatever comes to mind. Then look for the central theme.
For example, “I’m unhappy at work, but I’m worried about leaving and I don’t know what I want instead” might become:
“What do I need to understand about my needs before choosing my next career direction?”
A little context can help me understand what you’re asking. Share what feels relevant without feeling you need to explain every detail or disclose unnecessary private information about anyone else.
What if you still don’t know what to ask?
You are welcome to describe the situation in your own words and tell me what you most want clarity around. There is no need to make your question sound spiritual or formal.
My readings are personally interpreted and written for you. They are intended to support reflection and personal clarity, while leaving your decisions in your own hands.
